So sorry I have not replied to you before. I have been hospitalised and ill for some time so have got behind with my mail.

Abuse of any kind should not be tolerated as it makes you feel less than and hits your self esteem. If possible avoid your ex and if you cannot avoid him then shut him down as soon as he becomes abusive, turn off your phone, block his calls etc. Even if you caused the misunderstanding there is no excuse of abuse.
