Stuck in a rut and looking for your life’s purpose

Hi Anne. I am not happy with my profession as a teacher. I started off loving it but with the current system in Malaysia where they are coming up with constant negative changes that emphasizes data collection I am so disillusioned. Anne I feel I’ve some kind of mission to accomplish. I love to serve the community but I’m tied down cos of fear. In a nutshell l I need to discover my vocation. Thank you Anne.

It’s very frustrating when your heart yearns for a change of direction when you feel stuck in a rut. I understand the yearning as I had this for some time before I started to do my healing and spiritual work. I felt a need inside that wasn’t being fulfilled. My advice is to set down a clear intention of your desire and openness for change in your life. Intention is really important as nothing changes until you set your will towards the change even if you don’t know what you want to do or how.
Here are some simple ideas for you to focus on:

  • Write down and say out clearly that you are attracting a new opportunity that will fulfil you, don’t worry about the fact that you don’t know what this will be.
  • Identify the cause of your fear. It’s most likely the fear of loss of security. What is the worst situation that could occur and is that likely?
  • Once you have identified your fear ask yourself what are you going to do to overcome this fear? Speak to yourself. Tell yourself that any change will be one that you choose so you will still be in control of the direction of your life. Remember it’s possible to help the community and other people without sacrificing yourself or your own security. Maybe a different job and voluntary work in your spare time?
  • Next you need to focus on what your heart desires and not what your head is telling you to do! You can only do this when you are in a quiet place. Take some time to sit and be still. Write down what you would love to do if there were no issues or support or money involved – this will give you some clues as to your heart’s needs.
  • Ask for guidance from spirit and your higher self. It may not come immediately but it will come to you but it will also need you to be quiet to hear it!
  • Work on clearing any negativity that may be blocking new opportunities from coming towards you. The blocks that prevent us moving forward and following our purpose are often fears and anxieties or thoughts that you are not good enough, strong enough or capable enough to follow a new path. I have created a series of heart healing videos that help you to clear the barriers around your heart and mind caused by past experiences and programming from other people. See Symbol Healing for the Heart and Soul. Once your heart is clear you will find positive situations and opportunities will start to appear in your life.
  • While you are waiting for the change in your life make sure you enjoy every minute and every benefit that your life holds this very day. Look for the positive and keep yourself happy as best you can. Feeling disgruntled and irritated will spoil your life and you can lose the good things and prevent you from enjoying the giving that your position offers. E.g. what can you do for the other teachers to cheer them up? How can you make one child feel good about themselves today? Book a holiday for yourself to learn something new or go on a healing retreat – spoil yourself!

Bless you and I wish you well to find your path. Sending you love and a big hug.
Anne xxxx
